Want I80 to go up? DO SOMETHING!! Write them!

1. I do not believe for one second that the 18 million shares sold short and the EQX sale of stock are unrelated.  Someone always knows especially the crooked Canadian banks who handled the sale and warrants. I'll bet you that any number of calls were made to cousins and uncles before the sale and those people saw easy pickings with a short.

2. I80 is doing too much too fast. They need to stop all drilling and development that isn't going to result in fast track production and cash flow. Get the CIL plant up and running asap and start running material through it before any distant production gets addressed.

3. Issue some stock, take on some debt, sell off a non core asset, do a streaming or royalty deal or whatever it takes to buy all the stock held by EQX and retire it. We are not some krap miners piggy bank!  If Ewan is the consumate deal maker then make a deal....get that monkey off our back which I believe will end the short sale BS.

4. Do a 1 for 5 reverse split to get the stock price to $10 and the share structure under control. There are many institutions that are forbidden to buy $2 stocks no matter how promising.

5. Bite the bullet now...get our house in order

WRITE THEM!  Tell them as a shareholder you want these things addressed. Tell them you want our house cleaned up so that what's ours is ours and we and we alone control our destiny not some poorly run outfit using us as their piggy bank.

You have to be your own advocate. If you don't do it no one will do it for you.

Burn the shorts....Tell EQX to F off.  Get our house in order and be a big dog!

Woof!

Oh and do me a favor...go over to CEO.CA the other mining chat board and tell them to shut up with all their stupid t/a voodoo nonsense.  I was banned some time ago for telling it like it is. Tell them to come here and duke it out with me.  They see the big picture well enough but are clueless about how this actually works.

IAU can't buy back one share of EQX's 19.97% stake in IAU unless EQX wants to put them up for sale on the open market or agrees to sell them to IAU for a given price per share. If IAU buys back shares from other IAU shareholders and cancels them, EQX's ownership of IAU will increase since they will hold the same numer of shares while the total number of shares outstanding decreases.  ...more

Of course they would have to cut a deal with EQX...that's my point entirely. EQX needs money...IAU sells off some asset, borrows, does its own offering, sells a stream or royalty...whatever...to raise the funds to buy from EQX all the shares they control. They then retire them, do a share consolidation, get control of our destiny and work their plan.  I80 then has no overhang, has a ...more

Don't take it personally...I didn't call your baby ugly.  If you think the banks that deal with the junior mining sector are lilly white and doing business out of the goodness of their hearts you need to wake up!  I know how they operate from way back when I had dealings on the Vancouver Exchange. I was in the business during the dot com days and crash....I know how these people ...more

I see what you're getting at now.. I think EQX did need money, but perhaps only enough to sell about 5% of their stake in IAU, and least for the time being. Just because they sold 5% doesn't mean they need the proceeds from the other 19.97% anytime soon, unless IAU is willing to pay EQX a very large premium to say, the 30-day weighted-average share price of IAU or something along those ...more

Yeah, that percentage isn't random.  They can dump at will and that's not in our interest.  So far as crooked banks leaking info....happens all the time!  The big banks pay billions in fines and penalties as a cost of doing business. A handful just recently went to jail for manipulating the gold market. All it takes is one insider knowing the EQX sale is coming...he leaks it ...more

I also believe there was a leak on that deal. It may or might not have been bankers or financial entities which is why I'm still digging. It's not the 'Banks' that are crooked as a whole but certain people employed by them certainly take advantage of inside knowledge, and that can be any bank in the world. You won't hear about most of the suspicious activity as it's dealt ...more

I'm not making a blanket accusation it just seems very suspect.  Of course we all knew that EQX was hurting and likely to dump some shares but I'd really like to know who holds those shorted shares and when they did it and compare it timewise with the EQX sales.   You know that I'm a fan of I80 and their projects and plans and even though my proposals might be short ...more

Good point Nine. It could very well be the case that certain employees of these financial institutions are engaging in illegal activiy and getting away with it. But it begs the question, if you believe the system is crooked, why are you investing in junior explorers at all? It's like going to a carnival and trying to win a stuffed animal knowing that the odds of you getting that ring toss to ...more

That's an excellent point.  I know from a lot of experience that the whole thing is crooked...BUT...I also know that if you're on the right side when things get hot you can make a awful lot of money fast. Key is to buy seriously cheap with a large margin for error...then wait until the masses pile in and the group is the in thing...then get out.  You can play with thieves so long ...more

Well first of all I don't believe the whole system is crooked and it's only a minuscule number of miners doing shady deals, not like the 70's and 80's ooh the old Pezim days. Harry Barr a left over from that era. For arguments sake EPL is probably one of the best well run junior miners I have ever come across, as is the mid tier SEA. Plus I've made some great returns from ...more

I also find it interesting, Alwayslong, that you ask many questions and post often on this board but not a shareholder. So what's your preoccupation with IAU ?
