Artemis

How the world turns. Back in 2009 I held Silver Quest resources. I bought it because I liked Blackwater thought it had great potential. The crash came and Silver Quest traded at 6 cents. Sold at 30 cents then NewGold bought it out at $1.30 to complete their package for the Blackwater claims and now Artemis is mining it. Just an example of why I like mining and Gold stocks. If you do your research and dig out the potential they can make you very rich.
Anyway I thought those claims looked familiar. Quite funny.
In a similar vein is Brixton metals, BBB, early days but the potential once again is there.
You just never know.
Just like PezAmerica, Silver Standard, Mutual resources and all those others that rocketed higher the hunt is always on.

This is why I like IAU, along with their takeover of Paycore they are assembling one large land package with huge potential. When you think over 80% of all Gold mined in the USA is mined in Nevada well it tells you something. These guys are in the right spot.

You'll be an old man before anything gets mined by BBB.  They have lots of ground but I don't see how they'll open pit mine something that starts 100m below surface as a penny stock with nearly 400 million shares outstanding and years and years to go even if it's an economical resource at Thorn. One of the most important things with a miner is a "clear path to production ...more

And with that reply you missed the point of the whole post. BHP Minerals bought a stake in BBB. And back in 2012 onwards nobody was too excited about NewGolds Blackwater because it was said the Gold grades were too low to have an economical mine there !! Well, well how times have changed. Personally I'd rather have a deposit like IAU or even what Brixton has started to find because much ...more

I took a look at the recent drill results...nothing special about those grades that are 1000 meters under the surface.  You can't mine that.  .25% copper is open pit stuff and marginal.  They would have to strip 100 meters to get into it. There's not even a road to the project. Now I only took a quick look but I wouldn't buy something that won't produce for a decade ...more

That's the difference between our investing strategies. You're looking for possibly a 3 times play on Artemis within 18 months 2 years and I'm looking for a 3 times play possibly greater on Brixton within 6 months. That's how these markets work. Easier for BBB to get to 54 cents or IAU to get to $6 in a short period than Artemis to get to $8 even $12. Once you figure out that ...more

A low share price works both ways. If a 0.50 stock drops by only 0.05, it's down 10%. See SIC if you want to view a company with a low share price that nonetheless dropped from 0.40 a year ago to 0.20 today, which is a one year loss of 50%. I think market cap and (to a lesser extent) total number of shares outstanding are more valuable metrics to look at vs. share price. BBB has a market ...more

"BBB has a market cap of only 45M which is good all else being equal (the lower the better) but has already issued 229,000 shares (which is not a deal breaker for me, but in my view quite high for a company at this point in its operations)." Mistake. Actual total number of shares outstanding = 381,000
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Apr 09, 2023 11:48am
Wow, I'm really not with it today. BBB's current market cap: 70M (not 45M).

Check the ownership !!

I'm wrong again about BBB's total number of shares outstanding. It's 381,000,000, not 381,000. Time to stop posting - really out to lunch today re. accuracy in numbers presented.

For sure, nothing written in stone for juniors. I didn't bother going into true depth of BBB's deposit with Metalhead as I knew he'd barely researched it anyway.  Also almost 50% of BBB's shares tied up by major companies or major investment firms. Not to say they won't dump but that's the nature of speculative enterprises. Where's the joy in boring old blue ...more

LOL....BBB and your fantasy depends entirely on some fabulous drill results and a lot of speculators reacting to it.....One duster and you're done.  I know full well how this works...I've owned Great Bear and New Found and a few other specs...not my style anymore...I prefer the bird in the hand to the two in the bush.
Comment by NineLives on Apr 09, 2023 12:02pm
Er Metalhead, the Hemlo deposit had over 70 duster holes before they realised the true extent of the low grade deposit and what ? Let's see over 20 million ozs of Gold produced. You're too funny with your duster theory. Take a geological course. I keep banging my head, why am I even replying to you.....lol. I'm out of here Easter calls.

Don't reply. You can cite a success story if you like....how about the 1000 failures? PS I majored in Geology at the University of Idaho

"Personally I'd rather have a deposit like IAU or even what Brixton has started to find because much higher grades means a hell of a lot less rock to move. Playing through 20 to 25 tons of rock to get one Oz is a lot of wear and tear on machinery." Blackwater Average Strip Ratio: 2.01 for life of mine (22 years). IAU Projects: Strip ratios: ??? Should clarify my previous post re. assay results on exploration-only stage companies: 1) I'm talking Au, Not Ag. 2) Like to see four-digit metal factor holes if play is high-grade with minimal width. 3) Also impressive if lower grade (say 1-2g Au) over hundreds of metres (e.g., BBB Jan 12 press release re. 1.40 g/t Au over 253m) near surface and thus likely to be viewed as an open pit ...more
