Nice try, but I don't think they would be advertising to fill 5 positions from Senior underground geologist to an enviromental technician if that was the case.

Probably a good chance IAU were active with their ATM financing and shorts piggybacked it. Once over (if it took place) then the shorts only option will be to cover in the market.

Bought more down here. No concerns.

Nice recovery in Dec Gold, back up to $2.703.  Now I know you'll say the gold price has no bearing on this stock as it's traded down but it is important for a major looking to buy and mine.

You'll also say open pit is the only way to go but there are many many succesfull underground mines around the world. South African Gold mines are almost 50% underground and if you look at Great Bear (the company that Kinross bought out), the latter part of their mining plan, in fact almost 2/3rds of the mine timeline will be from underground extraction.

Happy to wait this out and see what their next financials say.  If we get a JV then bonus, if we get a sale then bigger bonus.

The JV is not a "bonus"....it will be a fire sale to keep the I80 lights on.  Why you people keep thinking this is salvation is beyond me.  I80 is in no position to cut a favorable deal if one at all. Underground mines are the worst of all worlds.  Not far from I80 lies the Holister and Midas mines two of the highest grade projects on the planet once....they've been ...more
