One more thing to add to that

The  lower the  share price is  the  higher the  partisipation  rate of  any suitor   becomes.... If they  put in  $100 million  at  $.50 cnd  that  is  200 milllion  shares . This  reduces the  risk  as they  would  already  have  30% ownership.
Compare that  to  $100  million at  a  buck   they  would  only  have  15%  ownership  and  much  higher  risk of  loosing on the   trade  value  of those  shares

I believe   IAU  is  in  play  here and  shareholders  are deciding  the   value or  lack  of  value  they  now   hold.

This is my take on this mess: Theres no doubt in my mind Ewan was getting a little ahead of himself running on the high of continued stellar drill results, and felt "invincible" issuing & raising money and "drill baby drill" without being as prudent as he should of been. Like a kid in the candy store scenario. Case in point taking over Paycore for FAD, when they had ...more

PURE GOLD had outstanding drill results, an 800 tpd mill, all the infrastructure, actual production, a land package etc .....it had horrible self promoting management....it still went bankrupt.  Shareholders got ZERO.  It does not matter where the project is, what the drill bit says, who is driving the ship.....what matters is only...IS IT ECONOMICAL TO MINE?  and IS THERE A CLEAR ...more

Very good  post   and brings into focus  what I was  suggesting  about the  comparison to MOZ/ CXB  The  sentiment of the  MOZ  and  IAU  investors   is  identical ,  the  same script  seams  to be in  use  here! The similarity  in regard to witholding  drill results, and& ...more

I would love nothing more to see an offer for I-80. Like MOZ I was a buyer during the lows around 70 cents after losing quit a bite due to their lack of capital to fund the mill. My returns on Moz with the CXB takeover are at today's prices up 150% with 6 figures. I always saw the site as first class with blue sky exploration much as a view I-80. Neither original team could pull it off to the ...more

If the projects were viable then "deals" would have already been done.  A new captain doesn't change the math and no one is going to lend hundreds of millions just because he's in the pilot house.  The JV walked away because the math doesn't work and that is NOT going to change.  MOZ had math and was nearly built...I80 doesn't even have a PEA!!    ...more

MOZ was a straight forward, open pit, fully permitted, feasibility complete simple mine....and yet COSTS ate them alive.  I80 is infinitely more complex, expensive and dependent upon all mines feeding a central autoclave. None of the mines are stand alone projects so you can forget about them selling some and developing another...it would be hobby mine at best. No major is going to buy them ...more

What do you mean i-80 doesn't even have a PEA? There is a PEA on Granite Creek and McCoy Cove. There is a resource on Ruby Hill including Mineral Point. There is a resource on Lone Tree. There will be PEA's on all these by the end of Q1 2025. Sure the math may not work on the base metals, but they still have very good gold projects that have value. Mineral Point at Ruby Hill has close to ...more

They could have 50 million ounces...so what?  What will it COST to get one ounce out of the ground, refined and sold?  Stunning how this side of the equation is so routinely ignored.

Agree Ridge,  bought  my  major  position in MOZ  after I said this  is  stupid  and  doubled  down  on sept 28th @ .59.... Oct 5th  @ .55  and Oct 25th  @ .50 This  weeks   IAU trading   mirrors   MOZ situation with  more  infrastructure in  place,  more  resources ...more

I'm only vaguely familiar with the Moz story.  I think the issue with IAU is the debt overhanging its head.  Did Moz have a similar debt issue?

If MOZ  had  Debt issue  it  would  be  on th  CXB  financial
