Just hit the tape, the US wants to increase not decrease duties NUTS final decision November then claim that the stomping fees on crown land is a form of govt subsidy go figure US consumer is going to scream

Are the "all others" catagory companies the only ones affected.  Includes Interfor as 28% of lumber is produced in Canada.  Would West Fraser, Canfor and a few more maintain the new rate they had just got?

Probably not. Interfor only has 15% of their shipments exposed to duties as per their latest presentation. The new rate given was temporary as we all knew since they were working at finding a solution. Interesting that they increased it rather than decreased it but US consumers will see the difference in the coming months. This move may have elevated lumber prices even further as it arguably ...more

Looks like West Fraser is the winner for now as their rate increases to 11.4 percent from 9 percent per the link earlier in this thread.

It is not official just a proposal.by US lobby group. The backlash from US consumers and homebuilders will prevent legislation from passing into law given the current prices of lumber. Interfor is the least affected company based in Canada (Wyerhauser sources timber in Canada). GLTA
