Price of CU

Will be interesting to learn of the timing of CU sales this past quarter.  The month isnt yet over but I struggle to think that we'll get the advantage of the price move of the past few weeks.  Should be a "good" quarter nonetheless if grades and throughput match q2.....

It is difficult to reconcile metal market prices versus the prices recorded by III because of concentrate shipments, settlement price adjustments, and exchange rates during a quarter. But metal prices recorded by III during the last quarter were Cu US$3.95 lb and Au US$2,172 oz. compared to market prices of US$4.42 and US$2,338. Good luck analysing that! Any suggestions regarding the metal ...more

Curious how Glencore, Vitol, Trafigura, ABX, manage to successfully hedge metals.  There is a reason for using Investment Banskters - not all of the expertise available is valueless.....
