Is there any reason to keep holding this weak REIT?

  • Low yield
  • Repeated testing of the eleven-ish low
  • Almost no reaction to interest rate cuts / impending cuts
  • Makes lower highs
I have lost patience with it and want to put my money to work in something better than a total return break-even stock. Anyone else wish to comment?

I bought in at a lower price point then now. Rent is not going to drastically decrease any time soon and with rent controls there is a mark to market lag on rents (more likely than not, with a shortage in supply there will be rent increases).  Some stocks just aren't followed as much and don't react to market news.  Private owners of real estate own upwards of 80% of properties ...more
