Let's talk numbers AT vs TTD

AT Q3 total revenue $27.5MM CAD, +5.4% YoY, +11.3% YoY constant currency basis
TTD Q3 was up 39% YoY

42% growth in Illumin to $7.4MM you say? Total BS and a head fake like I said earlier. Non-illumin revenue $20MM vs $26MM in Q3 2020. What growth?

So, basically, they tagged some revenue to Illumin but overall growth is anemic and this is why the stock is getting decimated.

Add to that CFO issues, and clueless CEO there doesn't seem to be a stabilizing catalyst.

Yes Tal is a dirty California tech rat. He has millions in the bank and dresses like a bum for some reason. Like just step down bud and do everyone a favor

Ill talk numbers with you and I'll try to remain objective here.  The Trade Desk is currently growing at a much faster pace. It has better ebitda margins, gross margins, operating margins, etc. They are trading at a staggering price to sales/ebitda multiple. It is clear to me that Ttd should have the higher multiple due to some of the reasons pointed above. The question I have to ask ...more

It is my opinion that valuation is not all about numbers, is about numbers plus a management that has a plan and can execute over ad over again, is about no bs management , is about constant business improvement. Las night I listen to TTD conference call an I realized how little league AT management is. When AT was above $30 they had the same valuation of TTD please explain to me the factors ...more

To add to that, the ability for AT to growth at rates that can outpace TTD should be much greater if even a fraction of their growth roadmap materializes. I'm referring to the tier ones ramping up, tapping into the 12 billion $ of auto industry digital ad spend on the US, acquistions, etc etc. PRior to 2019, AT grew at a 70% cagr. They are in pivot mode as they onboarding a new roster of ...more

Proof is in the pudding. After that catastrophic conference call Tal lost his credibility to deliver anything anymore.  I will say it again and again: if insiders aren't buying the stock in large amounts why are you???
Comment by Torontojay on Nov 09, 2021 11:52am
Because they have more shares than I do :)

I don't think you have any idea who you are dealing with here.. these are not straight shooters. If you look at history, Chair Sheldon Pollack woud buy shares when the stock dropped significantly to show support and get more at better prices.  Founders didn't do so because back then they collectively owned almost 25% of the company. Now their ownership is much lower and they made ...more

Sheldon Pollack only purchased 19,600 shares during 2018 when the share price traded between 59 cents and $1.69. Prior to 2018 he held a total of 1,446,474 between his direct and indirect accounts.  Insiders still have skin in the game.  Sheldon Pollack sold 100k in late 2020 and 100k in early 2021 in the public markets when he held 1,367,519 in indirect accounts and  an ...more
