Strong Ad Spending

There must have been a leak on the pricing for the Dutch Auction which would explain yesterday's nice bump in SP. But clearly management feels that their shares are undervalued. Meanwhile, this is an indication that ad spending is on the rise despite the risk of a recession (which seems to be fading). GLTA

Meta’s Q2 ad revenue beat is a positive for the U.S. economy: WisdomTree’s Jeff Weniger

Jeff Weniger, head of equity strategy at WisdomTree Asset Management, tells BNN Bloomberg that advertising budgets are vulnerable to cost-cutting and the tech giants showing growth in ad revenues is a plus for the health of the larger economy. He also discusses the U.S. Fed’s latest 25 bps rate hike and how U.S. banks are benefiting from offering ultra-low rates to depositors and investing at much higher rates in money markets or lending for home mortgages.
