What exactly is the offer

So what exactly is the offer all in cad? If I own 207 i3 shares I receive?

Yoiu get one shareof GTE for those 207 ITE shares so just divide 207 in GTE sp. Then convert pence cash portion  to Cdn using cross exchange rate on the currency section of Stockhouse...actually deduct about 4c off the rate as retail won't get the higher rate. Voila, total cad value. We would get that 'special' div anyway so not part of valuation. I think that's correct.

24-24.5c equivalent at GTE closing price yesterday.

I would say hat the valueof the bid is going to be dependant on the GBP to CAD excahnge rateand the share price of GTE yiu se to calculate the value of 1 GTE share /207 ITE shares . Yoday that will result in: 10.43, pence at 1.73  = 18,043 cents 207 share equiv at a $10,65 GTE sp  = 5.144 cents Total value today 23.18cents As I said before, we would get the dividend if there ...more

GBP to CAD rate is relevant when one considers the reality of retail exch rates; And what about that GTE sp, now indicating a value of 4.3cents.from 5.1c. The GTE price is the main factor in that it is not only tanking as Brent declines but can we see the latter reversing and we also have to assess that tax item with regard to fuuture financial performance.: on its face it looks as though it shud ...more

Since the GTE offer is very low there is a good chance somebody else will make a bid and we could see an increase in the 10% to 20% range from current offer value.  I suspect GTE would increase their offer if another bid was only 10% more, but over 15% I think GTE would be out. They cannot afford to increase miuch.  We just have to wait and see if another bid emerges.   i3' ...more

What exactly is the offer? Well, for one it is a stinking low ball of ITE's value and the low-ball gets worth less almost every day. As for another bidder, well 10 to 20% will certainly not meet my value expectations. I think 33% from the original GTE price preceding the bid might be acceptable. Hey, possibly ITE will favor investors with an update this week or next on what they called  & ...more

so, maybe another $200MM US debt (wud be nice to know how much extra debt GTE is taking on) in the company whose shares we are meant to feel good about getting!!!! Just makes the deal stink even more but the trouble is there is no way out as GTE shares become even less attrative option and the deal locks us in. Now, I would saythat if the deal is withdrawn rather than improved in terms of cash ...more
