Even with the current copper price, there will be a very nice upside for earnings this year.  I believe everything was based on $3.00 and we still have time for copper to move higher.

Nothing wrong with taking a profit.  For me, i wouldn't sell because this is one of the most attractive industries and IVN is the best asset in the industry margin wise.  I can't think of a better asset to move into unless you are trying to reduce leverage or concentration.  my take

Many people have been sitting on this stock for years so it is understandable to sell some of their position and buy when their is a pullback.  This stock has had a good run but be careful as the trading happening recently is due to shorts covering their position.  When they are finished, it might trade lower but rise as it gets closer to production.

With the expected news coming out next week and the stock being lifted by shorts constantly having to cover their positions, my hopes that the stock will hit $8 by the end of January before a slight pullback.  There are still over 8,000,000 short positions left to cover and let them sweat while many of us longs had to endure their constant shorting over the years.

I forgot to mention that since many of you bought the stock well below $6.50, don't put in any stop losses.  The shorts love that and have acces to that data so they want to buy hack your shares cheaper.    Of course the stock will fluctuate 10-15 cents, but the shorts want to start a chain reaction.  With no sellers, they are forced to buy at a higher price.  Learned

the short position is almost nothing relative to the shares outstanding.  they probably are not even true short positions.  Maybe a structured hedge.  7-8 miilion short out of 1.2b is irrelevant.

If I was to trim a little, right in here is where the chart indicates a sell point. Just won't sell any, too many near term catalyst coming up.  Did unload FCX today and will hopefully reload a little lower. GLTA

With a pile of 2016-vintage shares at $0.74 US, I must admit it's tempting to book some profits. However, I'm of the opinion that this company has plenty of room to run. I'm content to wait until production starts before I think about selling any. I think that there will be plenty of pleasant surprises ahead.
