Barrick

What if Barrick offered us 1 share for every share of IVN? Just wondering as they had talks with Freeport that did not work out. Would Friedland sell?

What if a unicorn landed on your front lawn.  Would you take it as a pet?   RF doesn't control IVN so its not up to him.  The Chinese governmnet indirectly controls the company and they are are securing as much " strategic metals " as possible for the future expansion and development of their economy.  They have zero interest in selling this type of asset to ...more

You are 100% right. This is a China play. Friedland has spent 40 years developing his relationships in China. He had the foresight to know this is China's century. All the copper from this project will end up in Chinese development projects. The West better smarten up and get mining projects into production to deal with huge demand from the required decaying infrastructure that needs to be ...more

Well, first of all unicorn is fantasy and I won't live to see one. However, you never know what happens and each and every company has its price. Barrick also operates in Africa and is looking for copper I think. The chinese have most of the power ofcourse and Friedland is working with them on other projects as well.. But anything is possible. Any which way, we will be way over 10 dollars this ...more

Barrick could take a run at Western Foreland as that is 100% IVN. Strike some sort of partnership. But like you say, RF and China work so well together it almost seems impossible that he would sell out to anyone but China. Anyway, .......................it's only a matter of time before we shine.
