Western Forelands Ownership

I frequently see in reports "Ivanhoe's 100% owned Western Forelands". What exactly does this mean? Aren't Zinjin, Citic and the DRC as owners of IVN stock owners of this property as well as Platreef and Kipushi?

Correct. There is a difference between investing in projects and investing in companies. There is nothing that says you cannot do both at the same time. The Chinese decided to invest with other companies in the same project (Kk) including in this group IVN where they have interest. WF however is currently owned exclusively by IVN so no other company is invested in the project directly. The Chinese ...more
