A more ethical picture of Ivanhoe Mines

Liberal news medias these days are generally socialist oriented and against mining . This philosophy permeates and allows for shoddy sensational and nonfactual or fictional news stories (The Globe and Mail, Sentry, Bloomberg in this instance regarding Ivanhoe Mines). Just keep in mind there is a huge humanitarian story to this massive mine development in the Congo (see below as an example).

This development is not going to be jepordized by either Friedland, Ivanhoe Mines, CITIC nor ZIJIN being involved in a few illegal million dollar potential transactions.

Doesn't mean corruption dos not exist but there is a "change in the wind" as they say. Shoddy reporting is a disservice to this trend. Ivanhoe share price comeback proves this while at the same time emotional weak hands have been replaced by belivers in the story.

As 2022 comes to an end, we reflect on the positive impact we've had within our host communities throughout the year.

The #KamoaKakula Mining Complex, a joint venture with Zijin Mining (39.6%) and the Government of the #DRC (20%) not only provides direct employment but continues to develop the lives of the surrounding communities in many other ways including significant #investments in education.

We are proud that a total of three primary schools and two secondary schools have been established and equipped, with two early childhood development centres constructed and equipped in 2022, the first of their kind in the region!

As a result, approximately 1,131 children, including 634 girls, now have access to education facilities, which was not possible just five years ago. An additional four primary schools and three high schools, as well as three early childhood development centres and a Centre of Excellence university are planned over the next three years.

you say they are generally against mining , and yet they are for the green insanity net zero fantasy , electric  of everything , that is going to take massive amounts of new mines , and yet they do not see how insane it is to be anti mining and pro green . you can not have one with out the other . our leaders and the media are insane .

DRC has population of some 92million. There is still tribal fighting as well as poverty outside of the IVN licenssed minning, benefited communities. Millions go without. But not the Political greased palms. Don't be fooled IVN is Green, electric. How much fossil fuel was utilized in making the minning equipment, offshore, and shipping it to DRC KK, Kipushi, S Africa Platreef mines.
