IVN showing early signs of breaking free of the CU pack

For the past year, IVN has moved with the sector.

Recently, it's been doing a little better, and that's what you want to see if something substantive is coming ( like new WF discoveries for example).

Today is a case in point - copper off 1-2%...peers like Freeport, Souhern, Lundin off 1-2%
And IVN up 1-2%

Nothing spectacular, but that's the way it's been for the past week or two.

Go figure, eh ?

The rubber is hitting the pavement folks. These new discoveries have to be worth a few bucks. Stop and think what this company has and you shake your head that it is priced so low ........................... not for long though. 2024 should be the breakout year for IVN. $35.00 buyout is what I think may happen $$$$$$, maybe even a tad more $$$$$

13.6 million shares traded today (includes all exchanges). Interesting $$$$$. Everyone knows the SP should be much higher. Tier one discoveries coming at you from everything RF touches. Buyout anyone???

Remember the Chinese are the major shareholders in Ivanhoe. Their philosophy is never to sell since they never need money. This is going to be Robert's legacy. Just watch where the stock price goes.

I've been wondering about buyouts. Here is what I think diminishes that risk. First, the Chinese partners could have bought Ivanhoe Mines for some time and have not (yet). What would be their motivation to allow it to be a more expensive purchase? This does not make sense to me. As for Western mining companies - they have apparently admitted they lacked the foresight to explore in DRC, and ...more

I would not say that other miners are nervous to explore/ buy/ build mines in the DRC. Everyone wants in as this new rail line even has the USA backing it. THe problem for many is that sly old RF has scooped up the land and this Angola land that they just secured is just a extension of copper from the DRC. The chinese and RF go back a long way and are tight friends also. They know if they want to ...more
