DD004 is 1.4 kms from DD008. …. And you wonder Why we areUP

  • DD003 (the Kitoko discovery hole) intersected 3.37 metres (true width) of 3.54% copper, at a 1.0% copper cut-off, from a downhole depth of 1,077 metres.

  • DD004 intersected 6.43 metres (true width) of 4.92% copper, at a 1.0% copper cut-off, from a downhole depth of 1,071 metres.

  • DD006 intersected 4.18 metres (true width) of 3.60% copper, at a 1.0% copper cut-off, from a downhole depth of 1,065 metres.

  • DD007 intersected 6.79 metres (true width) of 3.35% copper at a 1.0% copper cut-off, from a downhole depth of 1,089 metres.

  • DD008 intersected two separate high-grade mineralized zones: 3.09 metres (true width) of 3.67% copper from a downhole depth of 1,118 metres, and a higher grade zone of 5.19 metres (true width) of 11.64% copper from a downhole depth of 1,135 metres, at a 1.0% copper cut-of

I don't understand what's meant by the 3.09 metres true width?   The hole is not that wide is it?

The drill hole is about 4-6 inches diameter depending on the rig etc. Look at the drill core pictures in the news release. Consider a drill hole passing vertically through a perfectly horizontal layer - that is true width. If the hole is at a significant angle from vertical, the same zone/layer will give rise to a longer width of intersected zone. These values are corrected to 'true width' ...more

Exactly how deep did 004 go and what is the possibility there is another zone just below where they stopped drilling 004?

That's a good question and it made me look at the news release again. I think the answer (my inexpert opinion..) is that there is no chance of another zone lower down - the Kilbaran Basement (KB) is a structural control beyond which mineralization does not occur. Hole DD-004 bottomed out in KB. The mineralization is hosted in the siltstones that are just above the KB, with overlying pyritic ...more
