Bezos and Gates mining co mentions Kakula CNBC

Two of the richest men in the worlds mining company next door in Zambia mention their new find compares to Ivanhoes Kakula in grade but still at least 10 years away.  Ultimately Ivanhoe will be too expensive for BHP or RIO unless its a minor share. I think it will be the Saudis who come up with a sufficient offer. The next two years are going to be very exciting for the stock price.

Well, so far, their Mingomba deposit in Zambia has about 250 million tonnes at around 3.6% copper which is about 80 lbs per tonne, for a total of about 20 Billion pound sof copper compared to our  K&K totally a WHOPPING APPROX. 100 BILLION POUNDS of copper so they can comopare it to us, but they are NOT even close. I hope KoBold goes Public ASAP.... It'll probably be overpriced given the hype about Bezos and Gates owning a piece. And will probably make IVN's valuation look ridiculously cheap in comparison - and hopefully  we will get a more realistic valuation, eh ?

Lets not forget how long it takes to build a mine. Funny how nobody wanted in when RF needed cash and now they are tripping over each other to find copper in Africa and all want in the DRC. Sadly for them that smart 10 years ahead of the crowd RF locked up much of the land. Anyway, the billionaires have all entered the picture now so there is no shortage of money wanting in the mining game. Many ...more

Kobold has ton work ahead of them.   1. update resource estimate and complete feasibility studies 2. Secure funding 3. Provide Zambia a share of company 4. Secure power supply 5. Draw and build and secure supplies to build the mine This will take more than 10 years to build.

Yes, at least if they try doing it alone, since what do Bezos and Gates know about mining ??? LOL Close to zero I would guess. Now if they ASK nicely, RF and IVN could help speed that up big time if we have say, 50% and since THOSE TWO HAVE huge pockets full of Billions, they fund the development and construction to production with NO COST to IVN, since 2 to 3 billion is coffee money for those two ...more

KoBold says Zambia copper find largest in a century - MINING.COM
Comment by Potadvisor1 on Feb 06, 2024 1:50pm
Mining .com REALLY SHOULD get the news strait. Their title is that the Kobold deposit is the largest copper find in a century. What they NEGLECTED TO SAY, is that it is the largest in ZAMBIA, found in a century, and NOT ANY PLACE ELSE OR THE WORLD. That title belongs to only ONE COMPANY AND IT IS IVN.  KoBold Metals, backed by a coalition of billionaires including Bill Gates and Jeff ...more
