Drill Results ?

I would think we get some drill results very soon. Sept is here and RF hinted that news is coming in the fall.

Yes.   I agree.   Drill  results but also on that news the news that they will be introducing a new type of mining in the Western Foreland using I-pulse technology.   No more grinding material by compression.    They will be tearing apart the material with I-Pulse saving a lot of costs.   Revolutionary type stuff.   RF been hinting at it all year.

RF is determined to revolutionize the mining industry.   He wants to build the worlds greatest mining complex. And wants to see it happen before he dies.   The guy isn't getting any younger.

They said Fall for the WF update and that is almost here. I reviewed the more recent WF maps/slides/news lately - there ought to be quite a few drillholes reported soon, I would hope at least 10-20 based on the number of sites drilled and not yet reported etc. In addition to infill drilling there are a couple of new targets in there that were based on the geology of the Kitoko discovery ...more

If the drill results are what we all think then the SP should get a huge boost. Sooner or later this has to spill into the SP. You can't keep finding teir 1 mines and keep bringing them into production in record time and the SP just sits there. Add to that the lowest all in costs, the highest grade by far out there and all in costs about to go down with the new smelter. The SP is going to move ...more

Missing the Point It’s not drill results It’s not new mines It’s not lowest all in costs, It’s not the highest grade It’s not the new smelter   It all comes down to copper prices and prices are expected to fall.  Why?  The many problems in China’s economy are more than this post can examine today, but a recession is happening there now.  Germany faces a second year of ...more

You have a much shorter time frame in mind than myself and most others on this board. The possibility of recession and drop in copper price is of no concern to me. I'm banking on copper 5-7 years from now being well above $4. And IVN copper production double or tripled, and PGM production, and continuing discoveries and expansions. Try to time the ups and downs if wish, I find it too stressful ...more

That’s fair enough.  It’s your money and your call.  My way is never the only way.  I do “time” the precious metals market and find it isn’t stressful.  Actually, I find the activity to be stimulating, but then I’ve been retired for 27 years and have the time to actively manage my portfolio during market hours. No doubt we have very different ideas about the future copper ...more

My timeframe for that is 50 to 75 years. Having been retired for 27 years, there can't be many left to consider such a long-term problem for trading or even contemplation in your final years.

"My timeframe for that is 50 to 75 years."   And I for one hope you have all those years.   As usual you turn everything upside down, it isn't important how many years I have left, but rather how have I spent those years until now. I recall one Ecology class 52 years ago when the professor, who I greatly respected, held up a Shell Oil brochure that was being given to ...more

"And I, for one, hope you have all those years." Yeah, no thanks. I don't really want to witness 150 million Americans trying to get into Canada.

" I don't really want to witness 150 million Americans trying to get into Canada." LOL Really?    As usual you fail to understand the gravity of the mass migration that WILL occur.  Not so much from the U.S. (you keep forgetting about Alaska) but by those whose lives are threatened by high temperatures or lack of food.  Rejecting scientific evidence ...more

I am sort of agnostic on when I become very wealthy from IVN. I appreciate the results do not march to my desires, but I remain interested in the IVN share price increasing due to good results in all timeframes, be they days, weeks, months, years and a couple of decades out. It is undervalued in my opinion, I hope that changes soon. I am recently retired and have been in this stock for well over a ...more

"That desire is no more or less laudable than your own. " Certainly. Please do not feel a need to defend your choices.  The best you can say is that you expect what has happened in the past will continue to happen in the reasonable future.  With all respect - “I remain interested in the IVN share price increasing due to good results in all timeframes, be they days, weeks ...more

Barring a global recession that would temporarily be a hit, the long term prospects for copper prices are still good. Yes, China may be slowing down (but they are still rapidly expanding their renewables which should pull in the opposite direction) but India and Indonesia are rapidly growing their middle class which means more copper consumption per capita and those populations are huge.
