Management Silence

IVN needs to let shareholders know what exactly is happening with the power.This lack of comment from the Company is causing a lot of speculation and is not helping the Shareprice. Copper is approaching 4.50 and we are going to in opposite direction.We need a clarifying NR.

What makes you think it's about Power?  Maybe it's we are no longer looking to be taken over , 600,00,000 used for WF going forward ... no BHP , No Rep Tinto

I find the concerns over power to be overdone. Ivanhoe has been consistently forward looking and informative on power requirements, problems, and solutions. Every quarterly report and progress presentation covers the isssues. You don't refurbish mwadingusha and Inge, add in static compensator etc unless you have a complete plan. They do. Relax. "Ivanhoe has been consistently forward looking and informative on power requirements, problems, and solutions."   And what are we all told about "forward looking statements”?  To run on diesel alone is impractical from a logistic level.  Purchasing power elsewhere is dependent upon availability and could become very expensive as surplus power become scarce and prices ...more

I think this river your worried about has a larger basin then the Great Lakes ...  isn't it the second largest basin in the world ...  I thought I read that some place on the IVN site...

"   Oh, I'm not worried, ‘cuz my IVN position is nominal.  The size of a watershed is not the determining factor in drought conditions, it’s the lack of precipitation.  Duh!  That would explain the loss of 50% of Zambia’s staple crop last year.
