Still can't believe
I still can't believe they didn't run the 15,000 GEOs through the mill. OR truck it to Aurora and spend the extra in transport costs...big deal. At least guidance would be met.
Even if recovery was poor at 70.5 %, they could have perhaps added 10 K GEOs to net production and been at 200 K for the year. OR like I said above bring it to Aurora.
This is beyond unacceptable. As diceroll said "this prudent decision" actually caused a huge drop in SP.
If you calculate the latest FC resource statement + what is at Hollister remaining which is quite significant + Hatter Grabben to still incorporate + Midas (+ of course the infamous True North)....there is AMPLE gold in the ground to mine for years to come at 210 K GEOs per year conservatively. So yes this has become # 1 takeover bait by far in TSX Au midcaps.
How in the world could they F up 2 quarters in a row??? Ramping up Hollister at $ 11 M - $ 12 M + should have placed this ore efficiency issue as the CENTRAL issue and been started in the spring 2017 to ensure that by the Fall it would be working at 85 % +...not have 70.5 % recovery rate for Q4 at Hollister. Now they're at 80 % in end January 2018...seriously. You had all year bozos.
I am furious. I will demand answers and everybody should too.
The BoD have tons of shares still (i.e. the big guys Matlack, Schultz, even the Chairman Hall has a decent amount). The market has spoken gentlemen. Shareholders are livid. DO SOMETHING.
You cannot F Up a junior midtier in a GREAT geographical location like Nevada 2 quarters in a row due to a "ramp up" issue at one mine that was a hefty purchase price. This should have been avoided and ensured that by Q4 (when all the big production was to take place) the Midas Mill was working at 85 % + recovery rate PERIOD.
