Larger Blocks

So this month volume is noticeably up and this is being driven by more than a few 1,000,000 or so block trades. I think if the company did a 2 for 1 stock split they could really help the liquidity and therefor allow more institutional holdings.

it would be a very bullish signal .

2 for 1 stock split - that's something analysts should be bugging about- it will significantly increase volumes and therefore increase the shareholder ownership sphere. It is such a simple move

IMO splits do provide a lower entry price, more public interest ,however when i notice large blocks being suddenly traded it may be corporate interest acquiring the 10% prior to a takeover bid , if such were to fail the shares get sold promptly thereafter...i'm long Keyera past 5 years

My hunch is that the blocks are just passive funds filling out their portfolio now this stock has settled nicely after those brutal  years when they were building out KAPS. However, along your line, the healthy payout ratios make them attractive targets to absorb into private holding or absorbed by a larger entity in the space.
