Production and AISC KL in 2023

This is my estimation for  2023

Production :

Detour : 850.000 ounces (based on new mine plan of 2022)
Macassa : 410.000 ounces
Fosterville : 350.000 ounces (worst case scenario without new swan or swan alike)

AISC

Detour : 700 usd per ounce (based on new mine plan of 2022 with higher grade and production optimalisation)
Macassa : 575 usd per ounce
Fosterville : 500 usd per ounce (worst case scenario). I think there is a big chance they will find a new high grade zone in H2 2021 - H1 2022.

This wil give an AISC of 625 usd/ounce.  This gives the best margin (1255 usd) of the whole sector)   Based on their March AISC figure of 667 I would not be surprised they will do better then 625 usd/ounce

What is Proud Italian thinking about Detour? I remember he was a big KL fan who swiched to another mine because of the Detour takeover
In case he is still on this forum

Very good estimation for 2023 . Could not have done  a better guestimate than yours ! Forget about Proud italian ! What is important is what you think and write on this bullboard. The only one thing you have not been talking about : What about another acquisition to to grow the 1 610 000 oz production  in 2023 to 1 900 000 oz/year; like acquiring Wesdome if actual discovery at ...more

Yes, I believe buying Wesdome would be a good move.

Yes Bossu you are right.    In 2016 it was New Market Gold In 2019 Detour Gold.  In 2022 the next one?    Hopefully they do the next takeover before the next  big rise in the gold price.  They probably will first deal with the reorganisation of the Detour mine.   It is a pitty that 95% of the posts on this forum have nothing to do with KL.    ...more

Absolutely right about the degeneration of ''pitiful'' posts on this Number One Canadian  Gold company! Just remembering the Newmaket /Kirland Gold combination in 2016 where the Fosterville has delivered a rich gold deposit and 3 years later the Detour Lake acquisition where the production will increase to 800 000 oz/year in a couple of years .Resources are increasing and the ...more
