Deal price is 9% below yesterday's closing KL price
The deal price works out to $50.63 based on the .7935 ratio. Yesterday KL closed at $55.70. Taken over for more than 9% less than the existing share price?? Can't imagine people woould actually vote in favour of this nonsense.

granted this is correct but the stock did rise in anticipation of an announced deal I was hoping for a much better deal than this around a 20% premium maybe.. There is nothing wrong with KL as it is I see no reaon either to sell . I think others will come in and overbid this especially if the gold price rises. Not selling one share at this time.

Yes, the stock price did rise a little the previous day, but the deal is still almost 6% below where KL closed on Friday. Management is trying to sell the company for less than the market price of the business. Not going to get shareholder approval.

Definitely NOT getting my vote. I like owning KL. If I wanted Agnico shares I would have bought them simple as that. I have no intention of owning Agnico in the future at the moment either. I like some other choices I have made and if necessary and I get Agnico shares I will sell them and move to my other choices.
