exchange kl for aem

The fractions of KL shares are rounded down are to full share and transferred to AEM. Fractions are not reimbursed.  If you hold 2000KL x 0.7935 AEM = 1587 lucky there is no fraction, on the other hand with a holding of 2200KL the exchange total is 1745.7 so you just lost 0.7 shares of AEM at today SP of 71.59 = $50.11

I find it hard to believe you are out the $50.11.  I believe you'd be paid that in $.

I’ve really tried hard to find the source of my information. I am sorry but can’t confirm, guess I am getting too old.
Comment by Antonyius on Nov 13, 2021 11:01am
I believe this is the case, you just get paid
Comment by Quintessential1 on Nov 13, 2021 11:24am
You do not get paid.  I posted this eariler.  Its is copied from the Sedar posting and is on the mailout. No fractional Agnico Shares will be issued to Kirkland Shareholders (including holders of Kirkland CDIs) under the Plan of Arrangement. Where the aggregate number of Agnico Shares to be issued to a Kirkland Shareholder pursuant to the Arrangement would result in a fraction of an ...more

I have not received documentation yet.  If in fact there is no compensation, it is one more reason to be less than pleased with the deal.  If what you suggest is true, I may be unloading even more KL.
Comment by ghostzapper on Nov 13, 2021 2:51pm
Any idea when those documents will be mailed?  If no compensation, I will 100% for sure be selling in another account.
Comment by Quintessential1 on Nov 13, 2021 4:14pm
Already mailed.  I received mine on Friday but they are posted under AEM and KL's posts on Sedar. https://www.sedar.com/homepage_en.htm

Isn't it common practice to give cash in lieu of partial shares?
Comment by Quintessential1 on Nov 13, 2021 4:15pm
Maybe but it seems in this, "Merger of Equals" it is ok for one equal to fleece the other.
Comment by ghostzapper on Nov 13, 2021 10:49pm
Where does it mention the treatment of fractional shares?
Comment by ghostzapper on Nov 13, 2021 10:53pm
I eventually found it.  Page 74 of 347 No Fractional Shares No fractional Agnico Shares will be issued to Kirkland Shareholders (including holders of Kirkland CDIs) under the Plan of Arrangement. Where the aggregate number of Agnico Shares to be issued to a Kirkland Shareholder pursuant to the Arrangement would result in a fraction of an Agnico Share being issuable, the number of Agnico ...more

Lulu.  I spotted the GoFundMe page seeking funds so that Lulu could buy some personality.  I was hoping to use up to the $70 bucks towards it.  People like you are a dime a dozen, big people with ever so small minds.  Run back to the hole you came out of at the WM and NVO forum.  I hope you enjoy skiing.  The slope of the NVO and WM graph look conducive to it.

You, MPG and the other dumb a$$es that upvoted you don't seem to understand that there are probably thousands of small retail investors who may only have as little as 100 shares! These are the ones that are gonna be stiffed for that $70! Conceivably there are 100,000 of these people (representing only 10 million shares out of 265+ million)! That's $7,000,000 that Tony screws retail out of! ...more

AEM's take under deal also permits them doing a little skimming off the top by not paying full value for each shareholder's market value.
