I have no idea why you interpret this visit as "nerve wracking".  It is the opposite, as it demonstrates that the implementation of the revised MOA is indeed well underway, as "K1 million community projects development funding from K92 Mine Inc" was part of that revision, and has now been executed. I read the report/news as a positive also.  For the community and government leaders to personally visit the mine site has good implications and shows how the mines and miners should be treated as an example to the other mines in PNG.  jmho

I also think this visit is rather positive; and I’m not sure WHY such a slide is share price…..it shouldn’t be because of this visit. However, I would like to see John Lewins more specifically state the impact of the receipt of approval for a community development tax credit scheme on KNT operations. Is KNT contribution of US$285k to local community worth a blow over last few trading days of $480 ...more
