It appears that Barrick has come to terms with the PNG govt.  That should help improve the views toward PNG investments.

That's a good move (finally), on Barrick's part, but the problem was never the fault of PNG in the first place. Rather, it was with the lack of environmental and social concern displayed in the mining procedures of some of our western major mining companies, combined at times with outright brutish behanvior by their security personel.  There have been other instances of similar ...more
