my opinion re:financing

I'm a bit surprised with this development (the bought deal), but I'm not unhappy about it. 
For those who might complain about stock "dilution", consider that this financing is priced near the top end of the trading range for 2022.

Since the beginning of 2022, there was ample opportunity to push through a financing at prices $2 or $3 lower than the pricing  of this bought deal, which would have been a fair bit  more dilutive.

I view this as a win-win financing.

I have mixed feelings about this….what I feel is a rather opportunistic bought deal; yes it is done at good price but why not set it at $12. To me it shows that company feels they were lucky to get that high & it has no faith in prospect of moving higher…at least in a short term. Without specific plan outlining need for this dilution this 10% ‘hair cut’  sounds more like ‘let us  do ...more

I am a bit surprised that they are raising funds too as John has always prided himself on using cashflow to fund the growth. Perhaps they plan to accelerate things a little and this cash was raised to cover those costs off.  just a thought.

BB I think a lot of this will go to the drill bit. Given the current market this is a very good financing. The drill results are incredibly good but market is not rewarding because it is not adding to measured resource. That requires a lot more drilling. The Judd veins need further scoping and expansion. That appears to be a significant push now. All round useful funding for accelerating it' ...more

I agree, Merlin.  I think they are being receptive to this highly priced financing pretty much as a hedge against (overall) market uncertainties currently being displayed pretty much across the various facets of the financial markets. That's why I view it as a win-win: better to tap into decently priced funding while the numbers are in your favour, "just in case" the world ...more
