KNTNF appears to be cheap

at these prices but may need to hit support levels around 4.95-5.00 USD ??

Brilliant conclusion!

if  4.95 does not hold we may slip further to 4.60-4.70 area???  I own some lightly but may add if we go lower to 4.60 or so....just seems attractive at these levels to me...jmho...not a recommendation just asking others their views....dyodd

It appears that KNT already trades based on future production so I’m not sure one can call it cheap; but I ‘m still holding it strong in anticipation of that second trench & promised 300k + oz. From where I’m sitting KNT is just coasting & that is frustrating and also is pushing my patience. Yes, passing of late Mr. Angus (RIP) and post covit turbulence required adjustments but this is not ...more

the same can be said of most gold miners...they are really lagging the gold metal and the stock market....for some reason there is little to no interest in the miners..it has been a struggle to get any traction to the upside...if the recent move higher in the gold market does not boost the miners I am not sure what does

K92 is a trading stock, not a long term hold. I literally bought all new appliances (premium freezer, washer, dryer, and refridgerator) last year. I only allow 30k in my K92 fund. I am now buying again at $4.80 and below. Will sell somewhere around 6 (US). If it is still climbing I will hold longer. This will pay for my wife and I to take a very nice trip to Europe again. I have been doing this ...more

yur wrong! --really wrong!!! -- you can day trade or go in an out of KNT regularly but youi are gambling not investing  You may win (or lose) depending on the day, the moon, the direction of the wind or whether or not you sacriced a chicken beforehand.    Timing the market or-- a stock --is not an effective strategy -- its proven to be a terrible approach. M&A's happen out ...more

There is noting inherently wrong about day trading.  In fact it gives liquidity to a companies stocks, which can be good.  Is it gambling?  Well, that would depend on what you call gambling.  Is it like betting on red 17 at your local casino?  Definitely not.  Is it investing?  If it involves predicting what will happen to the share price in a given day, or in a ...more

of course it adds liquidity --but only for other daytraders buying and selling small amounts of shares-- it does NOT add liquidity with respect to institutional buyers or mutual which buy big blocks of shares. The 'liquidity' arguement is a  a bit of an illusion.   The fact that your wife profited from flipping in and out was good while it lasted. Hopefully CRA  does ...more

Yes well you don't know if my wife declared her gain as income or capital gain do you.  All of the day traders I know, understand that they are making income, for tax purposes, and treat it accordingly.  And whether it is gambling or investing is a moot point to me. Buying gold companies , large or small, is all about gambling in my opinion.

Yur right about investing in junior mining companies - it is definitely a gambling if you are trding in and out. It is best s a long term investment  - a strategy which often pays -- off big time -- but you have to wait it out. The trick of course is to pick one that l;ooks like it will become an operating mine with lots of pluses e.g. KNT. Why do you think so many ifinancial institutions an ...more

IMHO, there is plenty of “wrong” with day trading. Basically it is not rooted in the value or potential value of the company but in artificially induced fluctuations in stock price. It goes against principle of stock markets which is capital generation. Market share price is a reference price for new equity & capital for the company …so they can produce tangible wealth latter. Day trading ...more

"Parasitic"   - a perfect  description ! - it's a particularly offense form of abuse from a tax perspective. CRA will be all over it - sooner or later. They recently reassessed taxpayer who daytraded/ frequent  traded in A TFSA  (went to court over it and lost). In he case of a TFSA it is a case of double abuse -  doubley offensive from a tax ...more

Day trading has been considered income for years, decades, if not forever.  Now sure, at times it might get a little blurry, if someone does some quick trading for a little while is that day trading?  But the CRA has rules in place, easy to follow rules, and most day traders do follow them.   Now the TFSA thing is interesting.  The government really fumbled it with the ...more

You treat your day trading as Income -- good --TURDO says thank you -- however  I tried to follow up on your comment  -  But the CRA has rules in place, easy to follow rules, and most day traders do follow them.   I can't find anything specific to daytrading on the CRA website etc. or in the Income Tax Act re: easy to follow rules nor am I convinced most DT& ...more

From an investor perspective this is a very interesting and intriguing stock to hold --obviously with great potential re: a much higher price in the future.either as a resut of a M&A or just huge revenue, profits and cash flow in the future  As an investment it really doesn't matter what the price is on a day to day basis -  the volatility is driven by day traders  ...more

I just Googled : "day trading tax rules in Canada", and got the usual ten million hits.   Just glanced at it a little, I am actually not much interested in either day trading or the rule around it, but a quick check did bring up one thing I now remember.  And that is that it is actually hard to get CRA to consider a person as a day trader.  One site said that you ...more
