Putin to Ban Exports of Raw Materials

So I sold out today but i might have to jump back. Putins set to announce which exports russia will ban. If he really wants to have an effect on the west Potash will be the first one he mentions. Punch us fatties right in the gut

Too each their own but what I found interesting is a report from Morningstar giving Karnalyte a fair value of $2.36/sh, and their 5 star price is $1.19. Not sure how Morningstar calculates their numbers but at least they have some reputation behind them. I also agree with the other poster that there's no time like the present to get financing/bring in a JV/get shovels in the ground.

I agree about the financing as well. I got a little skiddish when my nutrien position got stopped out. do you have a link to the morningstar report?

Not sure how to post a screenshot here, but I'm sure you can see them on your brokerage accounts It might be robo backed as the numbers have changed to reflect the pullback Currently sitting at $1.72 fair value, and $0.88 is the 5 star value

As a comparison, Western Resources is getting a $0.74 fair value, with a 5 star rating at $0.26

that is interesting. looks like karnalytes stock is decoupling from the rest of the potash stocks i.e. investors are seeing value in this particular company/deposit over the broader potash industry

Just speculation, but I'm sure the offtake deal with GSFC upon completion of their mine would play a role. Kind of a "guaranteed" cost return right off the hop. I always thought that a big player could come in, build the facility, supply GSFC for 10 years and then supply the area with fertilizer for a reasonable cost
