BHP full steam ahead by the looks of it

Maybe that will bring a much needed large gas distribution line 20 km's closer to Wynyard

From the TR:

"Natural gas for plant and brine field operations require construction of a 8” (203.2 mm) steel pipeline from the PCS potash operation near Lanigan to the planned plant site (Figure 6), to supply the required amounts of natural gas. "

With all these new mines coming online, potash will be dirt cheap. It only makes sense to develop the Wynyard for its magnesium which is #3 industrial metal, believe it or not

Agree biz  I dont think it is any secret GSFC is in this solely for the potash. Likely why GSFC was in support of a 100,000 ton proof of concept sylvite mine in early 2018, as it could have produced much needed revenue while crunching the Wynyard carnalitte numbers.  If someone with deep pockets came along and wanted to produce magnesium from the waste brine, I am very certain GSFC ...more

I have understood the magnesium as gravy and the potential seemed easy enough. The reality at the time ended up that it wasn't entirely clear who would buy it based on the commentary I recall reading.
