detonated prematurely and targeted?   The energy component of sub speed of light can easily be directed.  The answer is yes, magnetic filaments can be disrupted on the Sun and energy output targeted.

No, it is not currently possible to detonate or target sunspots prematurely. Sunspots are dark, cooler regions on the Sun's surface caused by intense magnetic activity. They are not explosive in the way that a detonation implies. Sunspots are part of the Sun's natural solar cycle and are driven by complex magnetic processes.
