Why does the Canadian government have a House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance, if they are completely ignored?

Trudeau and his liberal government has made a really big mess of everything not just cannabis, not just housing, not just immigration but to hear a hospital doctor say it's a dumpster fire with regards to the total lack of healthcare funding and the healthcare system being backed up and backlogged, people suffering needlessly because of his idiotic politics and make no mistake I'm waiting ...more

Unfortunate it wasn't in the budget, but because it wasn't doesn't mean the recommendations aren't being considered and excise tax breaks could be addressed later. It was a tight window from recommendations to budget announcement.
