Bought shares on over reaction

Before transaction:
 
Share price 9.15; number of share 161M cash in bank 175M
9.15 * 161 = 1.473 M

After the the offer:

6.66 (s/p) * 216 (new # of shares) = 1, 438M

Cash in the bank 175 + 55*5*1.3 (to cad) = 530M

Maret  either overvalued the company yestarday or do not consider increase in cash today.

Unfortunately, this has happened with mining stocks for the past few years.  The company raises new equity at a discount and the market reaction is to drop the price below the equity raise price, creating a market price decline which is multi-x worse than the actual dilution impact. Providers of money in new equity raises have gotten extremely aggressive in demanding significant discounts ...more

Now all of the firms that were excluded from the PP and had bought at much higher prices will have taken big short positions pprior to selling off all of their holdings to make money back going down, then get back in at prices lower than PP It really seemed like a PP was coming the way the price was being held back after the Thacker Pass news, but then done at a huge discount to recent sp
