Union

Does anyone know if the recent union decertification news at LB means that LB will no longer have any union involvement afterwards?

Been wondering about this, as the unionization is a negative point to the stock in my opinion so any change in that does have some effect.

As farr as I know, the Union has not been decertified, nor do I think it is likely to be. Thank you very much for that So I guess this bank will continue to be crippled by the union for the foreseeable future It is likely to continue to shrink in size relative to its peers and eventually have its loan book sold off in a shut down operations I suppose.  No one would ever want to buy this bank out/merge with it as they would be importing the union cancer into their own bodies ...more

The union has been an issue but it isn't the biggest problem by far. The tremendously lousy Board and executive is the problem. This runs like most Qubec based companies, very badly. No other bank is ggoing to buy Laurentian, not because of the union, but beause it is so badly run. They might buy the assets, and deposits but they would never buy the operating entity becasue they don't want ...more
