yesterday new 1 year low but today up 6%.  pending news or just pingpong with a thinly traded stock?

I think this is just a reaction to National Bank making a bid on Canada Western Bank. Laurentian Bank is small enough that several other Canadian banks have enough cash to make a similar offer on it.

Hyper  its possible but the merger news is a fefew days old so doesnt account for the big drop  yesterday?

I did not see the National Bank bid on Canada Western Bank before market close yesterday. Why do you say the merger news is a few days old?
