LCS unit nav to JUne 16 = approx: $16.21

So appears LCS lost about 7 cents today off the UNIT NAV , most of that from dumping of  MFC .
Commons would have a value of about $6.14   after accounting for preferreds dist. in the future.So even after that is accounted for LCS back to a discount. Knew the premium  couldnt last ....lol

I dumped this one last week, before it topped but still happy with the return and a couple of distributions.  From what the ten year chart shows, this split is close to or just crescended it's top.  Not saying it will happen, but there's a good possibility, given past history, that this split will drop anywhere from 20-35% over the next few months.  When it drops off, it& ...more

I think all the insurance companies have trouble with low interest rates and should be ok the next couple of years.

You may be right but look back at their ten year chart. Their price is at a critical point when compared to similar interest rates in the past. This split has a habit of repeating its history imho GLTA the good folks here

10 years ago US fed rate was below 1 %... so not a good period for lifecos... Big difference today. Banks are much riskier, and why we have seen some big failures just lately. Didnt see any lifecos going under...
