EVs: Case of China/USA/Ontario

Joe Biden, if he can only lasso in Sinema/Manchin  et al, wants to offer a subsidy of up to $12500 per  US made EV in his BBBP.

Our own  il Duce  the premier of Ontario  abolished all subsidies that had been put in place by his predecessor Kathleen Wynne.    il Supremo abolished them on ideological grounds no sooner than he'd been elected.

The government of China by contrast announced today that their state subsidies for EVs which had been in existence for several years  will   come to an end by Dec 2022.   Presumably these subsidies will have attained their objective in making China the world leader in this domain.

There is an election looming in Ontario this summer.  Will we allow these self-styled right wing "populist" leaders to put a stranglehold on progress?

Cheers and a very happy new year.
