Like clockwork

LFE is always a sell at 5. Always. Indices this year have sported multiple records and yet LFE falls flat once again. Buying this for cap gains only is the better strategy.

Yes. I recall you saying this the last time and I did just that. Bought up through the run to $15 NAV and then sold. Started to get back in at $4.50 while averaging down during this slide. Question becomes, why are the lifecos selling so strongly as some of the indicies (S&P, Nasdaq) rise while others (TSX & DOW) fall? Is it a by product of lower intererst rates on the horizon? LFE seeing folks take profits where they still have some... Lifecos have mostly outperformed the other financials since the interest rate hikes hit the top level. Many were late to buy into the party.  Isnt many sectors going up today .... Fundamentals for lifecos in the near term are not poor, and imho much better than the banks. Some  Analysts of late are also saying good things about ...more

S&P and Nasdaq are propped up by Apple and Nvidia. Big tech continues to lead. The broadening out story is taking a breather again now that the FED has slammed the door on 3 rate cuts this year down to just 1.
