Has any of these Vaandium ReDox companies make any profit yet? Do we have to hunker down for a while before we see money rolling in?

Good questions. As Terry Perles said recently: "VRFB is an opportunity". It needs economies of scale by increasing production / demand and lowering costs to be profitable. But it's "green".

Exactly my question! I think that there have only been sparse profits made globally because of a. small projects (apart from the Chinese Dalian project which is in State hands as far as I know, b) because the VRFB industry is still in it's infancy, has not yet become fashionable and c) the V price drop since end of 2018. ...not being negaative but need to add that I forgot to say... that I had 50K of Cellcube Energy, (since the takeover of Stina Res.) and I believed through NR's that they had a pos. order book & pipeline, owned a V mine (project) in Nevada and were therefore primed for profitable vertical integration and a positive VRFB future. NADA, niente, nijchevo, nix, bust. Bushfeld just bought (parts ...more

All true. CellCube (Enerox)  management did a lousy job, and they almost caused them to go bankrupt. They had little revenue, and were over ambitious with their acquisitions. They would have gone under had Bushveld and a consortium of investors not bailed them out.      While I'm as "happy as pigs in sh*t" with the aquisition of Vionx Energy. VRFB sales will ...more

Hi Clipper: Just saw something from VandiumCorp this morning on their joint venture with Cenelest (a German company) on the vanadium bromide vanadium redox battery. Seems like there is lots happening in this space with different chemistries of vanadium and other elements. VanadiumCorp is a potential mine in Quebec but who knows how long that will take to get up and running. This VionX deal just ...more

I agree. Bushveld will be doing the renting/leasing also.  From Bushweld Energy websire: Renting (or leasing) vanadium electrolyte, a new product under development. Whereas historically VRFBs have been purchased with the vanadium electrolyte, rental/ leasing would allow Bushveld Energy, or a special purpose company, to retain ownership of electrolyte and rent it to the VRFB users or buyers ...more

Hi Turk Thanks for the VanadiumCorp reminder. I was going to post the link but didn't want to miss the CC. Lots going on in the vanadium/VRFB space right now, and I bet Elon is on top of what's going on, I bet his notebook is full. https://resourceworld.com/vanadiumcorp-and-cenelest-testing-next-generation-electrolyte-for-vanadium-redox-flow-batteries-for-mobile-applications/

Hi Clipper, agree to 99% apart from the size of VRFB batteries being the only negative against Li-Ion. Agree of course it'll take time, I'll be smiling like a Cheshire Cat with +5 more ticks up I'll be back in the black!!...so I can also wait a little longer, been in here dreaming since under the 0.20's back in 2016!! Rgds, take care, M.
