Hi island In addition to your link. Chinese- Australian relations are not so great these days. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/07/china-australia-relations-wont-be-back-on-track-soon-political-analyst.html China looking for ways to cut back on iron-ore imports from Australia. https://www.mining.com/iron-ore-price-tops-200-as-china-australia-relations-break-down-further/

Yes Clipper, maybe China's partial rejection of Australian ore is a benefit to Largo now or the future,....no better time to make the next earnings call and subsequent CC  to give the market (and shareholders) some up to date info on exactly what the plan, sales and ultimate value to the SP that the iron ore stocks are worth....so far it's a mystery,.......Island.

Don't hold your breast. They had the opportunity to be transparent and to share the enthusiasm of the first sale in the last CC but they decided to not answering the iron ore question when it was asked. We are already in May and still not even a whisper about a second sale? Is there even a sales plan for iron ore?
Comment by kha341 on May 07, 2021 1:12pm
The fact that they refuse to / can't  put a value to the iron ore stockpile speaks volumes. There is no inventory of iron ore in the books of the company.

Kha, thankyou for that, and no,I will try not to hold my breast,...as pleasurable as that may be. Have just sent an email to Paul Vollant @sales,with a link to Roskill's latest article on booming iron ore prices, and why we would like to hear more in regard to sales,..prices attained,..volumes sold,...and why there is no value in the ore ascribed to Largo stock price,......c' ...more

Thanks for writing to Vollant. All costs associated with the production / storage of iron ore are currently captured in the operating costs of V2O5 as the sales of Vanadium products represent our only revenue stream. If iron ore was considered as a separate stream of revenue by Largo then all of its related costs would have to be recorded / identified separately and the huge stockpile of iron ore ...more

Reply from Paul @ sales,..."thankyou for reaching out,we are following this very closely/working hard at it", so my take from that is it is under control,..nothing to see here,....or there will be big news out on it next week?,.....your guess...
Comment by kha341 on May 07, 2021 2:43pm
A "no-answer" reply? WTF. "....or there will be big news out on it next week?,.....your guess.." And thi is from the head of the sales team? WTF.. Another member of the management team with no communication skills at all.

Would it not be illegal for him to give information to one individual that has not been made public yet?
Comment by ninja123 on May 07, 2021 6:13pm
yes. the company cannot release material non-public info to an investor on an email. you guys are smarter than this .. chill.  i thihnk we all agree that their last conf call was a poor attempt at managing chaos. i would prefer they didn't choose that format, but i am sure they will get better at it over time.  buy, they are not stupid and really starting to make great progress ...more

Agree,Yes of course management will not release company information to an email request,..I think the gist of the request was tongue in cheek,to send a link to sky high prices for iron ore, which of course they would be aware of,however they have largely kept investors (us) in the dark with very little insight to iron ore sales ,future sales, value to the company SP, and so on,maybe we ...more

If they can't sell more than the tiny first sale of 14,000T of iron ore during the boom then they can kiss their rusty stockpile goodbye.  "Iron ore has been the best performing metal commodity in 2020, with a 70% y-o-y increase". And they could only sell 14.000T in March 2021? Pathetic.
Comment by ninja123 on May 07, 2021 12:32pm
the share price clearly is not reflecting the extra revenue (whatever that is) from iron ore .. which, as you know, is exploding higher in price.  my guess is the additional revenue will pay for the VRFB build out and more .. which means, net income will be higher .. i am still adding to my position in Largo on every pullback. we haven;t even seen street coverage expand, nor have we seen even ...more
