Alberto Arias Sierra Metals BOD resignation.

MM, it is my understanding that the withholding stockholder votes for Mr. Arias required him to offer his resignation from the BOD, and the board then to  decide whether to accept it or not. Another BOD member, Ricardo Arrarte, also resigned. The chairman of the BOD accaepted the two resignation requests, thanked them for their service, and wished both to be successful in their future endeavors

Isn't that a passive agressive way for firing a BOD member? I mean they majority of shareholders votes were withheld in relation to his position on the BOD which is a purposeful action, even though done so by lack of action. I guess the The BOD refuse his resignation but how likely is that given the withhold by the majority of votes......I don't prefer end to understand it, but these are ...more
