Primary V producers in the western world

There are 3 primary V producers in the western world, namely Largo, Bushveld and Glencore-Rhovan. Among them Largo produces the biggest volume and the highest grade V2O5.

The 2 biggest V producing countries in the world are China (by far the highest producer and the highest consumer) and Russia. If Russia was out of the picture due to sanctions then we would have an important supply deficit.

Not sure I understand how the sanctions work. Does China care, aren't they friendly with Russia What's to stop China from buying directly from Russia?

Twenty per cent (20%)  of the world supply of V comes from Russia. That represents a big chunk of the global supply. Even if China defied the sanctions, could the Chinese domestic market suddenly absorb an additional influx of supply equivalent to 20% of the global market?
