Not exactly encouraging
Those who follow the flood of new BESS projects being announced all over the world in recent months will have noticed that no large scale VRFB projects are among them. This fact casts doubts on the marketing story of VRFBs catching a worthwhile share of the market.
Even more concerning, at least on VRFB player is diversifying away from Vanadium.
Vanadium flow battery storage system developer VoltStorage from Germany has raised capital to develop an iron salt based flow battery. https://www.energy-storage.news/voltstorage-raises-e24-million-to-expand-product-offering-beyond-vanadium/
The reason might be team V's inability to grow capacity in a meaningful way and quickly. Today's projects are in the several hundreds MWh range and nobody in the V camp has anything to offer in this league. To me, this looks like team V might miss the boat.

Thanks for the info. Questions, you said, several hundred Mwh range. Is that too bug for Largo to offer?
