The immediate departure of Paulo Misk

https://www.largoinc.com/news/news-details/2023/Largo-Announces-Change-in-Leadership/default.aspx

Paulo Misk, President and Chief Executive Officer has left the organization with immediate effect. Immediate? Was he not Arias' man? What a surprise. I would prefer a more orderly change in leadership.

Paulo is a mining engineer. He was good at being the guy managing Maracas but bad at being the CEO representing the face and voice of a vertically integrated company like Largo with its Mining and Battery Storage duo pillars. I see this surprise news as a positive event for the future of Largo however I must add that on the flip side a SUDDEN departure of the head of a company = uncertainty. And the market does not like uncertainty. The faster the new CEO can be found the better. In any case, a prestigious/reputable replacement would be a positive catalyst.

Let's see how the market will react today.

Will Ernest Cleave be next?

Ernie's departure or should I say "cleavage" from the payroll of LGO will probably be the first order of business for the new CEO. I am out of LGO but still keep a close eye on things but this news was something I could not resist in commenting on. Turk
