Reading commodity quote must be careful and understand the information. Commodity has quote for every month. Not sure what month Trading Economics is publishing. If it switches from September to October, sometimes, the quote does not transit smoothly. I am not saying Trading Economics publishes wrong data but I would suggest you go to the source CMEGROUP.COM to get a better picture.   The ...more

Also important to not these are prices for 62% fines. The 65%+ pellets sell at a premium to 62%. There are several benchmark prices. For example today Singapore is at $96 and fell as low as $90 overnight. The Chinese market is closed for holiday. I think a call to the company to enquire which prices it uses as it's benchmark would be a good place to start. One thing is certain, we won't be ...more

IOC pellets receive the pellet premium as you have pointed out. In addition to that other premiums are paid for the fact that deleterious elements are well below that of the standard commodity spec.  The absence of ph, al , mn, si, and phos are also rewarded. It takes less energy to make steel with IOC pellets as a result of their quailty and produces fewer noxious emissions in the process ...more

As pointed out by a few experts in the Media, the Iron Ore prices drop is being done by Chinese CCP manipulation, just like they are doing with many other metals. AND as they say, Deep State swanpy Joe does not stand up to them and  letting the West being destroyed.
