Site visit by Old Gold.

I can not believe how cheap this stock is, there is no reason I can see why it should not be at least twice the cap it is. With a MC of around $50 million USD and an attributable resource of some 3.3 million oz of gold, and growing, that equates to a tiny $15 USD per oz per share.

When compared to others in the sector, such as Golden Star, Loncor is only one third the value. So, I decided to have a much closer look, and have put a video together of their Adumbi Hill project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. There is simply nothing not to like, a resource of over 3.3 million oz at a great grade of over 2.5 g/t. The resource is still growing as drilling continues, heading towards a world class tier-1 resource of 5 million oz. The second largest gold miner in the world, Barrick Gold has entered a Joint venture with Loncor, as they must believe a tier-1 mine is on the cards as well.

It has been a big week for Old Gold, the Congo is amazing, I had no idea how beautiful it was. If anyone is looking for some place different for a holiday, I can defiantly recommend the DRC.
I would like to extend a big thank you the team on site for their hospitality last week. The DRC is a beautiful country. Will post more later when I have time.

I never understood the concepts of dollars per ounce. You could have several million ounces of gold at very low GPT versus half a million very high grade. Obviously it is more economic to extract gold at higher concentration. Say there are several million ounces of medium grade gold in a remote part of the congo? What is that worth. What are the logistics of setting up a mine? yes barrick is ...more

Hi 1kg, the dollars per ounce is only one part of the equation for sure. However, it is common for companies to use this metric to compare one company to another. Lots of other things to consider when valuing a company.       The other one I always look at is grade, like the expression goes, grade is King, and number of ounces is Queen. I have ...more

One more crack at adding a photo, it is a table showing grades,if it works..  https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/5El09h_nHHdO-_XHWQ3Ny7za0g5n8DtH41sR9w94cXIY9TZ5p_1_XKsRkTjleW03X1feA3zH40RJas5bHVe2KK_vBwITCRtfIy8M2HKgQHOk-sycmGI1Bsi_82j4XfIIYAl3Jg3zlJjIKTshYXguOx7eZQANFDXb7I2pNkBH0zRLNHQ5_OfzXd3QlKVAaM5KwIG5vT27WghvmiOB9s0b4Y1aKdOB3KYdL9EM54O1_Y1CDxBLjj3JaIPId3rFR ...more

And some advice if you think of stock is unbelievably cheap it might actually be overpriced. The opposite also holds true.

1kg my friend i can see why you're trying to talk this one down so you can back up the truck Strange you question the methodology used to value a gold deposit.  Barrick sold a 2,600,000 oz gold deposit in Senegal in Oct 2019 for $ 160 per oz = $420 million when gold was trading at $1400.. many companies are bought and sold on this basis

What companies do you like right now 1kgcoffee? if Loncor is expensive I am always looking for names that maybe I don't follow. Appreciate it, I dont mind doing the due diligence.

It does look very cheap, wow. Seems to be loads of gold there too. Certainly one I'll be keeping an eye on.

The video shows nothing. Some piles of dirt and core samples that look like they could be from any exploration. I don't see pictures of oldgold or even hear his voice. And none of the information in it is new. It would be illegal for loncor to give any information that the rest of us don't have access to. I've gone quiet because there's nothing more to say. Look at the stock price. ...more
