Delisting

Darcy Keith is a financial editor with the globe and mail. On his stocktweet eyeonequity he stated that LSG would be reviewed in December for delisting. He did not list his source and I would like to find out more about this. Stating what rock did i come under and telling me to go away is childish.  The purpose of a blog site is to share information and collectively perhaps add to what we each know as individuals. You can put your head in the sand, but the issue of delisting has been brought up, the stock is now under a dollar for quite a while and at this point, even with a 2 to 1 conversion it would be hard put to stay above a dollar. These are real issues that need some research and intelligent thought. Obviously I am looing at the wrong site for such a process and yes, I am going away.

SeekandFind.  Welcome to the LSG board.  Unless you tell the board that LSG is going to be a $10 stock than you will see many "roll of the eyes" replies.   There are many pumpers on this board who claim they have the "inside info". When they are not busy playing with the leprechauns at the end of the rainbow than they are here doing their usual "hurah ...more

BNN reported this 2 days ago, that S&P which reviews the TSX Indices quarterly, mentioned LSG as one of three stocks that could be dropped from the Index(s). (Changes should be effective by 24 Dec, with formal announcement by 14 Dec) Consequences are that Index Funds would have to sell if de-indexed adding to current Tax-loss year-end selling pressures. The junior complex as a whole are taking ...more

qqoldbug...I agree with your blog. Can I add to the pot? A few years ago Tony stated 100,000 oz in the first year...200,000 oz in the 2nd year , 300,000 oz in the 3rd year and onward. That drove the SP crazy. I hopped on in the $4 range and suffered all the way down. I all but ran out of money averaging down fearing of a cheap take over. Yes I pump the story of LSG from a resource and ...more

Yeah right Seekandfind! Your second post is as usefull as the first!! Rumour and inuendo. People this is just the start of the next campaign for all the groups that sold for tax losses and now want to keep the price down till they can get back in. Remember they can only get back in 30 days after they sell if they want to use the transactions for capital losses. Don't get sucked in by this B.S. ...more

Nope, only from BNN. This from Financial Post "In Canada, additions and deletions to the S&P/TSX composite index are made quarterly, but changes to the S&P/TSX 60 are done on an as-needed basis. To be eligible for inclusion on an index, a security must satisfy several criteria, including a volume-weighted average price of at least $1 per share and a minimum weight of 0.05% of the ...more

"how badley could this hurt the stock ???? this is all we need That depends on how much the Index Funds own in Stock.  (the US Market Vectors own 31M shares) Here some good news from CNN "Stock Price Forecast The 8 analysts offering 12-month price forecasts for Lake Shore Gold Corp have a median target of 1.98, with a high estimate of 3.01 and a low estimate of 1.21. The median ...more

seekandfind You are wrong. The tweet states that it is under review for deindexing, not delisting. Big difference. The specific quote in the tweet: "Lake Shore Gold, Denison Mines face deletion from S&P/TSX index in December after quarterly review"
