Dr. K. Sethu Raman

Dr. K. Sethu Raman spent 13 years with Campbell Chibougamau Mines/Campbell Resources and the Royex

Gold Mining Group of companies (now Barrick Gold) in various management positions including Vice President

(1980-86) where he played a key role in the gold discoveries and development of six operating gold mines and

major acquisitions including the Teck-Corona Gold Mine at Hemlo and the Nickel Plate Gold Mine in B.C. He

also worked for Anaconda American Brass in Bathurst and Noranda Exploration in Noranda.

From 1986 to 2004, Dr. Raman was President and CEO of Holmer Gold Mines Limited, which discovered and

developed the Timmins Gold deposit in Ontario and the Loma Hierro Silver and the Mango massive sulphide

deposits, both in the Republic of Cuba. Dr Raman negotiated a business combination with Lake Shore Gold

Corp to bring the Timmins Gold deposit into production. He is a significant shareholder and a director of Lake

Shore Gold Corp., an emerging intermediate gold producer.

Dr. Raman holds a Ph.D degree in geology from Carleton University, Ottawa and a UNESCO Post-Graduate

Diploma from University of Vienna, Austria.

Harjay: Can you clarify about he being on LSG's board of directors? His name does not seem to appear in the listing of directors in the March 26, 2012 Annual Information report filed with Sedar and there does not seem to be a press release since then announcing his appointment.. Also while this may be good news, it may also indicate another as yet unannounced problem. Without more info the ...more

You could have added his picture holding a gold bar in his hands. (page 6) Just have to go on ''GOOGLE''and click his name and click ''Lake Shore Gold Story'' You will   have the whole sory about Sethu Raman and early days of LSG He knows a lot about the ore body. In my mind he could have been hire as a consultant to LSG team.  to better ...more

Consultant are very expensive "Yes" men....   This company continues to perplex me, as they pay through the nose for managment as if they are a multi-billion dollar company, but they are nowhere near that.     Just shuffling OUR investor dollars around for their benefit...yet one more reason to get out at the first resonable opportunity.  Personally, I'm gone at ...more

I believe you are correct,  IMO Sethu's real expertise is in geology, finding and defining an ore body. There are a number of good ore body possiblities on Lakeshoe properties,  Maybe they have a big one and would like to have some expertise in following and definning a new ore body.
