other gold miners

I though I'd give a kind of update on our friend Digger's predictions who was bad mouthing LSG and recomending we all jump ship to Kirkland Lake and Brigus Gold.   It's been four months since then.  Kirkland is down around 35% since his recomendation and Brigus is down around 23% or so.  By my calculations, we're down around 29%.  This tells me that Lakeshore isn't any worse then his recomendations.

Junior miners are all getting whacked.  The question at this point is - will POG tank as sentiment suggests and the big boys want, or will reason suddenly rear its lovely head when the world wakes up and realizes it is drowning in newly minted currency, all dilutive.   Anyway, if Gold does not tank, where is the low hanging fruit? Junior miners to be sure, but among them which is the ...more

GOLDEN,LSG is down from $4.42 cents 2 years ago so Digger knows what he is talking about. He sold over $4.00 as did I and he bought BRD in the .80 cent range  so if he would have kept LSG ,he would have lost big time.Myself,I just took a rather large position in BRD  recently as I like their share structure, cash costs and head grades.I made good money on LSG but they have to get the ...more

Not saying you should have necessarily gotten in at $4.42.  He did a smart thing to get out when he did for the time being.  I got in at 80 cents.  BUT Digger was talking about 4 months ago ... that at that time he was getting out and saying everyone else should also get out.  I disagree.  I still think LSG is a better company with more upside.  We will let time prove ...more

Are you saying Digger bought Brigus at .80 after he sold LSG TWO YEARS AGO?   Becasue, at the time, Brigus was over a dollar fifty.
Comment by IMgolden on Apr 12, 2013 12:10pm
What I'm saying is ... that 4 months ago he told us to dump LSG and get into Brigus and Kirkland lake.   Whatever happend before that point ... who cares.  He challenged us who were staying with LSG to compare share price down the road.  THE CHALLENGE WAS FOR THAT TIME ONEWARDS.  This is why I did a comparison of prices from mid January till now.  ONCE AGAIN ... I ...more

Thanks for the clarification. I look at the ten year chart for both and see that LSG needs an 8 bagger to regain its former glory but Brigus needs a 12 bagger. And it hasn't done anything in the time frame you describe except drop from .80 to .72  So-o-o-o-o,, GLTA get out the dart board, ALL PM stocks are down.

Sorry to intercede and don't want to start an arguement but i seem to remember  and i could be wrong but Digger said he was getting out of LSG back in the summer of 2011 when LSG was coming down from its high and he got out in the high 3's i believe.  I do not remeber or seeing him telling people to get into BRD or KGI so i cannot speak re: that. FYI - Thompson Reuters consensus ...more

55 cents or threabouts looks like a good spot to get back into LSG. POG determines LSG holders fate right now.
Comment by BrahmaViddo on Apr 13, 2013 10:37pm
45-50 cents would be a better entry point... when gold hits the $1425 mark
Comment by LUMilkman on Apr 14, 2013 2:57am
Well duh, so would .25-.30
Comment by rajags on Apr 14, 2013 5:10pm
Very true ....... ;-0 ...... but it is a good buy and hold investment.
Comment by cashonthedash on Apr 14, 2013 8:43pm
Wesdome gets 3.5g from thier pit.....Lsg grade to low for real profit....if they knew how low the grade really was at Timmins west there would.nt be a mine.  Bell Creek another low grader the GG dumped.NO grade no profit.
Comment by BrahmaViddo on Apr 14, 2013 10:46pm
.25-.30 is unrealistic... however 0.45-0.50 is VERY POSSIBLE and may happen this summer.. gold is set to slide further.. im waiting to buy back in...
Comment by BrahmaViddo on Apr 14, 2013 10:50pm
Sounds like LSG is making everyone believe they are the all-star high grade underground miners but keep producing numbers that make them look like an open pit low grade mine....hmmmmmm.. a sheep in wolfs clothing ?
Comment by LUMilkman on Apr 15, 2013 12:29am
How is that unrealistic? Gold is down to 1440 at the moment, another 60 point drop from when it closed on Friday. I would not be surprised if this POS is at .30 cents by the time July hits.
Comment by BrahmaViddo on Apr 15, 2013 7:22am
Gold closed at 1477 on Friday... now its sitting at 1415.. broke the 1425 resistance level when it touched 1390... LSG will be hurting today... yikes
Comment by rajags on Apr 15, 2013 11:47am
45cents is not only possible ... it's here. Bought some at .465 a few minutes back and will wait before anoy further purchases.
