LAKE SHORE GOLD CORP 6.25 PCT DEBS > Goldcorp takeover of prb

Goldcorp takeover of prb

What a deal for probe sharholders,$5 a share plus 1/3 share of a new company for 526 million for a low grade grassroots project that has no infrastructure. When all the reserves and resources are measured we should be at least 4 times the market cap of probe for what LSG has.

From Globe and Mail article: "The transaction, which is expected to close in March, values each Probe share at $4, a 49-per-cent premium to the company’s closing price of $3.36 a share on Friday."

Goldcorp already owns 10 million shares plus royality of LSG . I am confident they know all about LSG.

Goldcorp is very astute when it comes to mining. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their competitor Barrick who is out of the picture for now due to gross mismanagement. Not sure anyone else could or want to make a play for LSG right now.

Probe and LSG drilled one hole on the Probe property with no significant assays. Had to been about 3 years ago. Lets also not forget that LSG took Goldcorp to the cleaners when it bought Bell Creek and surrounding claims for a song and a dance. I can't remember off the top of my head but I believe it was 25 million. Do you think Goldcorp is going to buy back something they sold for at least 10 ...more

Where is Brian Booth?  Can we bring him back as LSG"s CEO? Much better deal than when LSG bought/merged with Thunder Creek.!

Sorry, but I find your comment offensive. Tony is leading very well.
Comment by Vanchester on Jan 19, 2015 6:51pm
Brian was the right man for that time in LSG's history but didn't have the know-how to take LSG to being a producer. Tony was the right man for the job. For those that don't know or can't remember he pretty much turned FNX mining into a winner. Those were fun days back when LSG was just a prospector....whatever happened to Blakelock Harwood and some of the other "promising ...more

Well Yoda it could have cost more if not for the buy-in agreement for 60% back in 2003 (see below for another Booth steal). LSG waited too long before making the offer for Thunder Creek. If you go back and look at some of the initial drill results you will see the were not very good at all. LSG believed the structure at Thunder was the same as Timmins West ( a continuation somewhat like what we ...more

Van: Good read, appreciate the time spent here, while I'm at it thanks to all the longs here , names don't need to be mentioned, for your well known. Good to see Tony not getting suck into Andrew's negativity today on BNN. They (the banks) have had their fun playing LSG down for the last time,& therefore hopefully LSG will not require their so-called financial services in the ...more

Van , if my memory serves me right probes is north end of the property on the other side of hyway.id say 2 klm north of the shaft .not in the picture as lakeshore is moving south west.gltal

Idle - you are correct that the claims are to the north of the mine but not sure of the distance. I believe that LSG have 55% ownership of the claims. Best place to check is the ClaimsMap website. Tricky to use at first but even I figured it out. https://www.mndm.gov.on.ca/en/mines-and-minerals/applications/claimaps v.
